Gold Coast nurse calls out COVID Twitter trolls over abuse after 6yo daughter's vaccination

 A Gold Coast medical educator who was trolled online after sharing a photo of her daughter being vaccinated has called on big tech companies to do more to stop those with "radicalised" views from sharing misinformation.

Registered nurse and Bond University assistant professor Jessica Stokes-Parish earlier this week posted to Twitter a picture of her six-year-old daughter after she had received her COVID-19 vaccination, saying: "Long queues but we did it! #VaccinesWork".

But later that day, the tweet went viral with online harassment and bullying in which people attacked her for allowing her daughter to get the jab.

    This is very bad that people are trolling her. Vaccine is available for the age of 5yr kids and as a doctor she knows better about the vaccination. These vaccines are specially made for the kids which is safe and effective. People who are trolling her are totally wrong and they shouldn’t do this. Nobody has right to make fun of other for no reason.

Santos confirms Cooper Basin pipeline explosion, as protesters converge on company AGM

 Oil and gas company Santos has confirmed a pipeline in South Australia exploded in January, as Aboriginal traditional owners walked out of a heated Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Adelaide. The South Australian Department for Energy and Mining (DEM) said it was notified about the incident, which occurred at the Big Lake gas field in the Cooper Basin on January 25. Resources website Energy News Bulletin described it as a "major explosion", citing anonymous Santos managers and on-site workers. The pipeline runs to the Moomba processing facility 750 kilometres north-east of Adelaide.
