 Hi there, As a child, I used to read a lot. My room used to be filled with books. However, when I grew up, I did not pursue reading and got busy with other things. Finally, when I decided to become an entrepreneur, I knew I had to get back to reading to prepare myself for the task ahead. Besides reading a lot of management and marketing books, I read a lot of entrepreneur books. These have a lot of insightful information that is not found in the academic books. Stockland acquires lifestyle villages operator Halcyon Group for $620 million

 Developer Stockland (ASX: SGP) has today made its first major announcement with new CEO Tarun Gupta at the helm, securing a deal to acquire Queensland-based Halcyon Group and its land lease communities for $620 million. The agreement includes the purchase of 3,800 sites across 13 land lease communities, made up of six established land lease communities, four communities in development and three projects in planning. The new acquisition will bring more than 2,500 new customers to Stockland's portfolio, in addition to a team of more than 100 people. Raft of new exposure sites listed in Gold Coast, Brisbane as delayed case reports come through

 Queenslanders have been urged to keep a close eye on a growing list of exposure sites in the wake of revelations about two new cases in particular - a Sydneysider who is now known as the index case for a flight attendant whose positive test was revealed on Friday, and a man who returned to Australia from China. Westfield Chermside, two Nundah locations, Harbour Town, Pacific Fair, the Q Super Centre in Mermaid Waters, a childcare centre in Parkwood, and a Chinese restaurant in Southport are among the new venues listed. Yesterday the state's health authorities confirmed the flight crew member had likely been infected with COVID-19 when she picked up a man from Ballina, NSW - a close contact of a known COVID-19 case - on 14 July, giving some relief to regional communities and passengers connected to her previous flights to and from Longreach, Gladstone and Harvey Bay.
